Right from our beginnings, the BTI staff has been a dedicated community of academics and professionals who are passionate about the vision of BTI and the part they play in fulfilling it. Each individual contributes valuable expertise and impressive experience to the team. Placing a high value upon relationship, everyone works together to achieve as a team what we could not achieve alone - creating the best possible experience for the students who come and journey with us through their years of tertiary study.

Dedicated to the personal growth and professional success of our students, our staff are well-known for their accessibility and for going the extra mile. We maintain a strong commitment to professional development. On top of their teaching schedules many of our academic staff are working towards further professional qualifications in their 'spare time'. Each year we are delighted to celebrate with individual members of our academic staff who have gained Masters or PhD's in their respective areas of expertise.

A robust research culture is also cultivated at BTI, with staff contributing regularly to international journals and conferences. BTI staff have received research funding from both the NZ Families Commission and Ako Aotearoa in the last three years.
