Teacher Education Stakeholder Feedback

Feedback helps us to shape our programmes and meet the needs of stakeholders, whether they are existing students, alumni, associate teachers, practicum centres, programme monitors, NZQA or TEC.

"When saying to people that I am a teacher, I am often asked “What do you teach?”  My reply is always “I teach students”.  I teach hearts and minds, I teach students to be independent and to question, I teach life skills and how to build and maintain relationships. If BTI taught only curriculum content and  lesson planning, then maybe my response to this question would be different.  I was taught to value myself as the learner at BTI, and so I now value the learner more than the content too.  I believe that through a good relationship students will learn more than if I were just teaching content.” Rachael McKoy, Alumnus, Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Primary
