What Inspires Secondary Teachers?
|
We believe that you teach out of who you are and that's what the children remember. Whether teaching PE, inspiring others through weekend sport or simply walking alongside children, BTI graduates are motivated by their faith and by being agents of positive change!
Here, alumnus Hayden Reid, shares his story; why he chose to study at BTI for his Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary) qualification and how he believes he can make a difference in the lives of others. Hayden Reid spent most of his 20s as a professional rugby player, spending the last four years in Italy. He came home in 2010 and completed BTI's one year Secondary Teaching programme and is now teaching Maths & PE at Tauranga Boys College. Here he speaks about his passion for encouraging his students and what gives him a sense of purpose. |
