What Inspires Primary Teachers?

We believe that you teach out of who you are and that's what the children remember! 

BTI graduates are motivated by their Christian faith and by being agents of positive change. Here, two alumni share their passion for teaching and what they loved about studying at BTI for their Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Primary degree.

Janet Blaauw
New entrance primary teacher, Janet Blaauw has been teaching the new entrance class at Te Ranga Primary School in Te Puke since 2006.   She loves what she does and has some wise advice for first year primary teachers.

Rachel McKoy
Rachel McKoy completed her primary teaching degree at BTI in 2011, and walked straight into a great job at Bethlehem College after completing her practicum there!
