SOCIAL WORK AT BTI

Choosing the right place to study Social Work, is just as important as choosing the degree.

Staff at BTI are relational, have a supportive open door policy, and encourage students to be all that can be through learning support and guidance.

We believe that you do social work out of who you are.  During your time at BTI,  you will grow holistically and academically, gaining understanding and knowledge as you develop the skills of relating to people in need and helping them grow and change, step by step.

Bachelor of Social Work

Being passionate about social justice in New Zealand society, and wanting to effect positive change is at the heart of social work; Social Workers, many of whom work through agencies such as Anglican Care Network, Baptist Churches of New Zealand Catholic Social Services, the Methodist Church, Presbyterian Support NZ, Open Home Foundation and the Salvation Army provide the essential services required to support and serve communities throughout New Zealand.

If you have a heart to help people find resources, overcome their problems and plan for the future, becoming a social worker could be the career for you.

BTI's faith-based 4-year Level 7 Bachelor of Social Work degree, accredited by NZQA and approved by the Social Workers Registration Board, is taught from a biblical world-view and can be studied from anywhere in New Zealand.
There are a plethora of agencies, in which you could make a positive difference after graduating with BTI.  Click here for examples.
